We are going to be talking about Rome and answering the following questions.......
1.) How did Geography play a role in Rome's origin? 2.) Why was the Tiber River important to Rome? 3.) What role does legend play in Rome's beginning? 4.) Who were the Etruscans? 5.) Why was Rome strong? 6.) In what ways were Rome's rulers smart? |
Question 1 & 2Answer to question 1:
Rome is located in Italy. It is about 15 miles from the Tiber River. Rome was built on top of 7 hills. These hills provide protection from invaders Answer to question 2: The Tiber provides a water source. |
Questions 3 & 4Answer to question 3:
Many legends are in place of Rome's beginning. But the most believed and treasured one is the legend of Romulus and Remus. There once was a set of twins, Romulus and Remus. They were abandoned by their parents, near the Tiber river and left to die. Until, a female wolf (they say she-wolf same thing doe) came a nurtured them back to health. As they grew older Remus decided to built a wall, and out of jealously Romulus killed his brother. 🔥 Answer to question 4: The Etruscans occupied the region to the north of Rome, between the Arno and Tiber Rivers to the west of the Apennine Mountains. The Romans were first a subject people of the Etruscans and later their conquerors. SO yea 👌 |

They were in war after war. They were able to pick up skill, and learn and apply things that need to be improved. Such as their fighting technique. |
