When Moses rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt he took them he was to take him to the promise land, otherwise know as Canaan. They had to travel through the Sinai Desert. While on their trip Moses went to the top of Mount Sinai and received the 10 Commandments or laws from God. The 10 Commandments are the first part of the Hebrew Bible otherwise known as the first part of the torah. A covenant was made with God. A covenant is an agreement. God promised that the land of Canaan (Promise Land) would be returned to them if they followed his laws. It took about 40 years for the Israelites to reach Canaan. Sadly in his attempt to make it as long as he could Abraham died before ever seeing the promise land. After his death, Joshua, his son, took over and lead the Israelites to Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan, they found that other people lived there. Joshua lead them to the city of Jericho. He told the Israelites to march around the wall of the city. Me personally think I think that the Israelites should have had more faith in Jehovah or God. I mean most of them were okay. I mean they complained when were being chosen to God's special people, and go to a new land for a better life. While they were in Egypt as slaves, an prince gave up his comfort and luxury life, to save the people of Israel. And we all should know what happened next. They eventually were proved unfit to be to be God's people. But that is a different story, definitely for the Jews. But I'm not getting into that. Anyway if they showed better faith, they would have been alot better and easier and less complicated. Moral Of Paragraph (In My Opinion) Better Faith Better Day! 😇
